Katie is the person behind Perfectly Playful.
As an Early Childhood Teacher, Director and Educational Leader, Katie brings current experience in early childhood settings together with her Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Child Play. Her work is grounded in child development, play, relationships, wellbeing and reflective practice.
Katie is passionate about supporting the adults around children while keeping children at the heart of the work. An advocate for children's voices, she values listening to children and observing their experiences to understand what they may be communicating through behaviour and play.
Her motivation is to help educators, services and families respond with greater connection, curiosity and confidence, while considering each child's development, relationships and environment.
Katie works with early childhood services across Brisbane Northside and the Sunshine Coast, offering in-person support where available alongside online professional learning.

- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Child Play
- Experience as an Early Childhood Teacher, Director and Educational Leader
- Professional learning and study in child development, attachment, trauma, therapeutic use of self and play
